Untitled Sculptures (2013)

Unfired clay

Prelim Show, RSA, Oxford

These series of sculptures, with their smooth, organic lines and curves, are to be seen under the faint flickering light of a candle, that burns lower over time. Here, they are placed under the dim glow of a suspended light-bulb, which moves to a person's touch. Under these dark and fluctuating conditions, the sculptures gain a sense of life; the gaps in their continuous form create patches of light within the shadows, swaying with an steady uncertainness beneath the dancing light.
